Govt declares 11 hospitals in JK exclusive for COVID | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 27 (KNO): Amid surge in number of positive and suspected cases of deadly coronavirus, the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday declared 11 hospitals across the Union Territory exclusive Covid hospitals. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), government spokesman, Rohit Kansal in his tweet informed that eight hospitals in Kashmir and three in Jammu to be exclusive COVID hospitals. He said 2400 treatment beds and 1000 additional quarantine beds have been earmarked, adding that the Chief Secretary B V R Subraamaniyum has chaired a meeting to finalize the arrangements. “8 hospitals in Kashmir and 3 in Jammu to be exclusive COVID hospitals. 2400 treatment beds too earmarked.1000 additional quarantine beds also. Adequate capacity to handle any possible rush. CS chairs meeting to finalise arrangements,” Kansal tweeted—(KNO)
